We’re thrilled to announce that Leap AI has recently secured a significant round of investment from syndicate Alba Equity and economic development agency Scottish Enterprise.

This latest fundraising takes the total amount raised by Leap AI over the past 18 months to £3 million. As a result, we are now poised for an exciting period of growth and expansion.

Ben Bamford and Ben Stuart with Jock Gardiner and John Duncan, of Alba Equity.

The funding will allow us to double our team from 21 to 42 employees as we scale up our operations. We are looking forward to welcoming new talent across engineering, machine learning, software development and other key areas.

Since our founding in 2018, Leap AI has established itself as a specialist in artificial intelligence-enabled robotics for the food production sector.

Our systems are designed to meet the automation needs of a diverse range of customers with minimal customisation required. We handle everything from initial design through to building, installation and support.

The newest addition to our product suite is PikPak™, launched earlier this year. PikPak™ enables efficient packing of a wide variety of tray and box sizes, and is already being rolled out to customers.

Moving forward, we have an ambitious product roadmap to deliver enhanced quality control, data analytics, efficiency gains and faster deployment.

I’m extremely proud of the solutions we’ve brought to market so far, and even more excited about what’s to come. This new investment will support the next stage of our journey as we help even more food producers benefit from intelligent, flexible automation.

Onwards and upwards!

Ben Bamford
CTO, Leap AI
